Getafe "to try again" for Real Madrid striker Gonzalo

Getafe are ready to try again for Real Madrid striker Gonzalo Garcia.

The young centre-forward turned down a loan move away over the summer after an outstanding Club World Cup campaign with Real.

But minutes have been scarce for Gonzalo so far this season, fueling talk of the Spain U21 international leaving in January.

And local journalist Roberto Gomez reported on Radio Marca today: "Getafe will ask for him again.

"Xabi Alonso doesn't give him the time of day, he plays very little. If Gonzalo doesn't play, he should leave: he needs minutes to keep progressing.

"The player's entourage wants to defend his interests, but I think he should leave... but he's not going to leave."
