According to the British media outlet The Mirror, although Declan Rice may be dealing with an injury, he is still expected to return to the England squad for the current international fixtures. Meanwhile, Arsenal have received bad news as captain Martin Ødegaard’s injury has worsened.

In Arsenal’s 2–0 victory over West Ham, Rice was substituted due to a back injury. Manager Mikel Arteta expressed concern and said it was uncertain whether Rice would be available for England duty. However, English media report that Rice is expected to report to the Three Lions camp on schedule. Ødegaard’s situation, on the other hand, is not as positive — he has withdrawn from Norway’s squad for their October matches against Israel and New Zealand due to injury.

It is reported that Ødegaard has suffered a ligament injury in his left knee, and Arsenal are currently awaiting the results of his scan. In a club statement, Arsenal said:
“After sustaining a medial collateral ligament injury to his left knee during the first half of Saturday’s win over West Ham United, Martin Ødegaard has withdrawn from the Norway national team’s upcoming matches against Israel and New Zealand. During the international break, our medical team will continue to assess and treat him at the Sobha Realty Training Centre, with the aim of helping him return to action as soon as possible.”
